Hazardous substances (including chemicals, dusts and airborne contaminants) are a significant feature of an automotive workplace and ELV depollution. Employees must be aware of the risks associated with the handling, use and storage of these hazardous substances.


This e-learning health and safety module provides the essential requirements of the Control of Substances Hazardous to Health Regulations including practical COSHH assessment and information that must be provided to all employees working with hazardous substances.


This course includes:

  • An introduction to Harmful Substances.

  • Legislation relating to chemicals - COSHH.

  • Understanding what exposure is.

  • The importance of Emergency Plans & Procedures for incidents including spills, release or accidental exposure to potentially harmful chemicals.
