  • Provide an overview and understanding of the various ELV processes, including the extraction of used vehicle oils from an ELV.

  • Demonstrate the technical knowledge required to safely drain vehicle lubrication oils (engine, gearbox and axle) from a vehicle's oil sumps and also from a vehicle's drivetrain using specialist drills when drain plugs are not available.

  • Demonstrate the technical knowledge to be able to safely and proficiently remove a vehicle's oil filter using various tools, including filter wrenches.

  • To safely recover and store depolluted oils.
