About the Course
Vehicle oils and lubricants can be extremely damaging to the environment and must be properly recovered from end-of-life vehicles. This courses ensures delegates are familiar with the hazards and risks associated with extracting and storing used engine, gearbox and drivetrain oils.
You will be able to:
Provide an overview and understanding of the various ELV processes, including the extraction of used vehicle oils from an ELV.
Demonstrate the technical knowledge required to safely drain vehicle lubrication oils (engine, gearbox and axle) from a vehicle's oil sumps and also from a vehicle's drivetrain using specialist drills when drain plugs are not available.
Demonstrate the technical knowledge to be able to safely and proficiently remove a vehicle's oil filter using various tools, including filter wrenches.
To safely recover and store depolluted oils.
Who is this course suitable for?
