This course is designed to provide an introduction to the safe storage of dangerous or hazardous materials in a vehicle workshop or dismantling facility. Delegates will learn to understand the requirements associated with the safe storage of hazardous materials and substances, after these have been extracted from an ELV.

Legislation relating to the safe storage of dangerous or hazardous materials.
Types of hazardous fuel and liquid storage.
What are fluid or fuel farms?
The importance of leakage and vapour detection systems in mitigating explosion risks and environmental impacts.
Containment requirements for dangerous or hazardous materials.
An overview of how to manage spills of dangerous or hazardous materials.

How long will it take?
This course will take approximately 45 minutes to complete, and is comprised of 35 slides, including videos and quizzes.
