We are excited to announce that we now offer the City & Guilds Level 3 Award in Mobile Air Conditioning (MAC). Technicians carrying out work on automotive air conditioning containing F gas refrigerants, including the recovery of such gases at the end of a vehicle's life, must possess an appropriate qualification. This Level 3 Award provides the necessary licence to handle refrigerants in compliance with the minimum requirements of Regulation (EC) 307/2008.
Whether you are looking to achieve your first mobile air-conditioning qualification, you want to develop your existing automotive skills, or you are completely new to automotive air-conditioning, this level 3 award is accessible to all. We have partnered with the UK's leading refrigeration and air conditioning training provider, to ensure our clients have access to the most professional and reliable training available in the UK. Training can be carried out at customer premises, at an ATF, or at a specialist training centre. If you have more than one member of your team to train then the option of having trainers come to your site offers excellent value for money, and where appropriate, trainers can use your equipment, so learners are trained on the kit they use day-to-day. Training is available across mainland UK.
The qualifications will cover the following areas:
Operation of MAC systems containing F gas refrigerants.
Environmental impact of F gas refrigerants.
Environmental regulations.
Refrigerant recovery.
The course is delivered and completed during a one day period, with a maximum of four delegates. Training can be offered to smaller groups and on a one-to-one basis. On successful completion of practical and verbal assessments, learners will obtain an accredited City & Guilds 7543-01 certificate in Mobile Vehicle Air Conditioning and Refrigerant Handling. Better still, unlike the equivalent IMI Award, the City & Guilds qualification does not expire, so there are no costly requalification fees.
