EV Safety Training for the First on Scene at the Roadside

ree

EV breakdowns and crashes present very different risks compared to petrol and diesel vehicles - for occupants, other road users, and for you. Whether you’re a highways officer, police officer, paramedic, or firefighter, you need to know how to recognise and respond to those risks safely.

Most EV and hybrid training focuses on mechanics: maintenance and repair.

Ours doesn’t.

Our training is built for the first on scene at the roadside—when a vehicle is defective, damaged, unstable, or even submerged. Your job isn’t to fix it. It’s to make it safe and to protect others.

That’s why our role-specific EV courses teach you how to deal with these scenarios from the moment you arrive on scene:

  • How to recognise EV hazards

  • How to immobilise, stablise and isolate electric and hybrid vehicles

  • How to coordinate and communicate effectively whilst on scene.

  • How to complete a safe handover to other professionals supporting incident management

  • How to safely manage the recovery of broke down or accident damaged electric vehicles including transportation and storage at salvage yard facilities
